On 26-28/10/2018, a group of professors from the Faculty of Humanities participated in the scientific conference "Diyarbaikr: History-Society-Economy ". The conference was attended by 135 researchers from inside and outside Turkey, and participants from the University of Zakho presented their research for two days, which included aspects of the history and civilization of the ancient city of Diyarbakir.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Farsat A. Yahya from the Department of Islamic Studies, Dr. Shawket Mohammed, Dr. Hogir T. Tawfiq, and Dr. Ghasan Mustafa from the Department of History plus Dr. Nizhyar Naaman and Mr. Zeravan Ahmed from Arabic Department represented the University in this conference and presented their outstanding research papers.
The last day of the conference was devoted for a tour to ancient sites of Diyarbakir.
