Seminar at the University of Zakho about the Viewpoints of the 3rd Baron Kilbracken on the Kurdish National Struggle

On the 14th of December 2015, Dr. Sherzad Zakaria Mohammed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, in cooperation with the Department of History held a seminar about the Viewpoints of the 3rd Baron Kilbracken on the Kurdish National Struggle at the Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Zakho. The late 3rd Baron Kilbracken was a British-born, wartime naval pilot, journalist, author and farmer and is recognized as a pro- Kurdish writer, who wrote political analyses on behalf of the Kurds at a time when Kurds were not given the current support and consideration.

Regarding the Kurdish national struggle, the 3rd Baron Kilbracken has often mentioned in his writings that the right to self-determination is a natural right of the Kurdish nation, who have been oppressed for a long time by their occupiers.

The seminar was visited by a respectable number of students and lecturers.
