On Thursday, July 8, 2021, the University of Zakho celebrated the graduation of round(10) and (11) in the presence of the university president, Prof. Dr. Lazgin A. Jamil, members of the university council, deans of faculties and colleges, and a number of media outlets.

Ceremonies were held online in the absence of students due to health conditions and adherence to preventive instructions and were limited to university leaders and faculty members at the university.

The celebration witnessed the graduation of more than three thousand students, who were crowned with bachelor's degrees in various disciplines and scientific fields.

The celebration was a unique opportunity to honor a group of faculty and researchers and present them with certificates of appreciation and symbolic gifts for their efforts in preparing scientific research and their significant contribution to the progress of the university and the service of the educational process.

The celebration also coincided with the eleventh anniversary of the foundation of the university. During those years, the university witnessed the graduation of more than eight thousand students, the establishment of many international conferences and scientific activities, and strengthening the cultural and scientific relations with a number of local and international universities and institutes.

It’s worth mentioning that the University of Zakho was established in (2010) and at that time it consisted of two faculties. Currently, the University of Zakho includes (28) scientific departments divided into three faculties and four colleges.
