On Sunday, May 30, 2021, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research held a meeting at the University of Sulaymaniyah, in which it discussed many files and topics including the end of the academic year and the experience of the blended education system in the presence of the presidents of the Kurdistan universities and institutes.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Aram Muhammad Qader, began the meeting by thanking everyone who contributed to the success of the academic year, despite the obstacles and the repercussions of the Corona pandemic. Likewise, he shed light on the need to search for effective solutions that reduce the impact of the crisis on the education system.

He said that the ministry intends to improve the education quality in the region through the development of effective strategies and programs, and stressed that the ministry is in constant contact and continuous follow-up with universities and institutes in order to provide the necessary pillars in a way that contributes to the quality of the educational system.

The meeting also discussed many other files, including the file of accepting students for the new academic year, contract employees, and directed the universities to prepare their plans and submit them to the Ministry for the purpose of studying and discussing them.
