Under the supervision of the governor of Duhok, Mr.Ferhad Atroshy and in the presence of the minister of Culture and Youth, Mr.Khalid Duski, the writers' union - Duhok section held their fourth intellectual festival. The festival started on April, the 20th til April, 21 under the slogan " Ideas and Power are the methods needed towards independence".

The Festival took place in the writers union's Hall with the participation of the kurdish intellects and writers from all the four parts of Kurdistan.
