On the occasion of World Heart Day, on the morning of September 29, 2025, the faculty and students of the College of Medicine will organize an event under the title “Raising Public Awareness on Reducing Heart and Chronic Diseases” at Shahidan Park, located in the city center of Zakho.

What will take place:

Inside the park, booths will be set up where medical students will provide free health screenings for the public, including checks for diabetes, lipid levels, and blood pressure.
Additionally, echocardiogram demonstrations will be shown using Datascope, and educational information will be shared with the public on heart disease prevention and reducing chronic conditions.

 

Time: The event will start at 3:30 PM and continue until 7:30 PM.
