The University of Zakho, represented by Dr. Lokman A. Abdulkareem, Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Sherwan M. Simo, Head of Petroleum Engineering Department, and Dr. Ramadhan Haji, participated in a workshop conducted by the Duhok polytechnic University concerning how to manage earthquakes and implement safety procedures.

The workshop addressed the key precautions to be taken during earthquakes, methods to reduce the risk of disasters and casualties, and the implementation of safety measures.
