The Master’s thesis defense of the postgraduate student Helan Haji Jangir was successfully conducted before an examining committee on October 15, 2025. The event was attended by several professors, faculty members, and instructors from the Department of English Language.

Her Master’s thesis, entitled “Women in Defiance in of Economic and Social Adversities: A Feminist Study of Betty Smith‘s A Tree Grown in Brooklyn and Joy in the Morning” was conducted under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Amel Mahmoud Abduljabbar. Following a thorough and engaging discussion between the committee and the candidate, Helan Haji Jangir was awarded the Master’s degree in English Literature.
