On Monday, 27/3/2017, at 11:00 am, Mr. Ken Cross, the General Consul of the United States of America in Erbil, visited the University of Zakho, and he was welcomed warmly by the president of the University of Zakho and the members of the University council.
Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim, the Director of the Office of International Relations at the University of Zakho, organised a meeting in the presence of the president of the University of Zakho Assistant Professor Dr. Lazgin Abdi Jamil, and the University Council members. At first, the president talked about the activities and projects of Higher education. Then he talked about a number of academic programs which belong to the University, including memorabilia signed by the University with other local and foreign universities. On the other hand, he talked about the future projects of Zakho University. Accordingly, Mr. Ken Cross expressed his happiness and satisfaction with the activities and projects of Zakho University and wished the University staff more success.
At the end of the meeting, the University president, Assistant professor Dr. Lazgin Abdi Jamil, honored Mr. Ken Cross the University armour.
There have been many constructive discussions between Mr. Ken Cross and the students on important issues concerning education and how to develop the scientific level in Kurdistan and the world.
