The University is one of the most important universities in the Kurdistan region and has a clear footprint in the field of higher education and scientific research in Kurdistan generally, and specifically in the region. That is why the minister of higher education is proud of the university of Zakho. In addition, Zakho University is one of the universities that have fewer problems. All this was pointed to in a meeting on Wednesday (8/3/2017), in the university presidential council hall, and under the supervision of Dr. Yousif Goran, the minister of higher education and scientific research. In this meeting, there were discussions about the educational status and the problems that the University might face. In the same context and at the beginning of the meeting Assist. Pro. Dr, Lazgin Abdi Jamil, the president of the University of Zakho, welcomed the minister of higher education, Dr, Yousif Goran and his accompanying delegates, on the behalf of the university.
