The President of the University of Zakho Holds a Comprehensive Meeting with Heads of Academic Departments

On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Prof. Dr. Diyar Abdulkarim Saeed, President of the University of Zakho, accompanied by the Vice Presidents of the University, held an extensive meeting with all heads of academic departments at the university.

The meeting was held as part of the University Presidency’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic and scientific standards, ensure the effective monitoring of the educational process, and identify and address the essential needs of academic departments for the new academic year.

At the beginning of the meeting, the University President delivered an opening address, emphasizing the importance of effective and timely coordination between the university administration and academic departments. He highlighted the need to implement the university’s strategic plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational services to its students.

The meeting also featured comprehensive discussions on several key areas, including:

• Monitoring the Educational Process: A thorough review was conducted of the commencement and management of academic activities, with particular emphasis on ensuring compliance with attendance schedules and approved annual teaching plans.
• Enhancing Academic Standards: Discussions focused on adopting innovative approaches to strengthening academic capabilities and advancing teaching plans in accordance with contemporary educational requirements.
• Addressing Departmental Needs: The logistical, laboratory, and administrative requirements of all academic departments were reviewed and documented to facilitate timely solutions and ensure that essential resources are provided as soon as possible.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President invited department heads to present their proposals, observations, and recommendations. He also provided the necessary guidance and directives to further strengthen scientific activities and advance the university’s academic objectives.
