“Zakho University is participating in the preparations for the second International Conference on Artificial Intelligence.”
As a significant scientific initiative at both the Kurdistan Region and international levels, the University of Zakho, in collaboration with seven other universities from the Kurdistan Region and an international university from Malaysia, is preparing to organize the Second International Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Sustainability in the Developing World (AISDW26).
On Wednesday, 12 August 2026, the first preparatory meeting was held under the auspices of Duhok Polytechnic University, with the participation of the President and representatives of the University of Zakho, as well as the presidents and representatives of the participating universities. The meeting was also attended by the Director General of the Center for Scientific Research and Investment, alongside the Vice Presidents of the participating universities for scientific affairs, administrative affairs, and student affairs.
The meeting aimed to establish the necessary procedures and preparations for organizing this international scientific conference, which will be held in a hybrid format under the title:
“2nd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Sustainability in the Developing World (AISDW26)”
