University of Zakho Offers Multiple Master’s Degree Opportunities at the University of Pavia, Italy

The University of Zakho has announced a new opportunity for its graduates to pursue master’s degree studies at the University of Pavia in Italy for the 2026–2027 academic year, under a special arrangement that provides reduced tuition fees and potential financial support for outstanding and financially disadvantaged students.

On May 25, 2026, an online meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Ramadhan J. Mstafa, Vice President of the University of Zakho for Students Affairs, and Dr. Nizar I. Ali, Director of International Relations Affaies, with Dr. Antonio M. Morone, Coordinator of International Projects at the University of Pavia and Professor of Asian and African History.

During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities available to graduates of the University of Zakho to apply for master’s degree programs at the University of Pavia for the 2026–2027 academic year. Under this initiative, the annual tuition fee has been reduced to only €1,000 for eligible applicants.

The University of Zakho also plans to interview graduates who ranked first in their respective departments after they receive admission offers from the University of Pavia. Selected candidates may receive additional financial assistance from the University of Zakho.

This achievement reflects the growing international collaboration between the University of Zakho and the University of Pavia in academic, scientific, and research activities.

Founded in 1361, the University of Pavia is recognized as one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious universities and has graduated numerous internationally renowned scholars.
