As Vice President for Scientific Affairs at the University of Zakho and Conference Executive Chair of ICOASE 2025, it is both an honor and a privilege to extend, on behalf of the Presidency of the University of Zakho, our deepest gratitude to all who contributed to the remarkable success of the 5th International Conference on Advanced Science and Engineering (ICOASE 2025).

 

We are especially grateful to Prof. Dr. Diyar Abdulkareem Saeed, President of the University of Zakho, and Prof. Dr. Aree Adel Abdulqader, President of Duhok Polytechnic University, for their unwavering support and guidance throughout the preparation and implementation of the conference. Their leadership was instrumental in overcoming challenges and ensuring the smooth execution of this significant international event.

 

In preparation for ICOASE 2025, the organizing committee carried out extensive outreach to maximize participation and engagement. Nearly 3,000 emails were sent to universities worldwide as well as to organizations in the public and private sectors. This comprehensive effort helped raise awareness, encourage paper submissions, attract international participants, and foster collaborations between academia and industry.

 

This year, ICOASE received 167 submissions, of which 84 papers (50%) were accepted following a rigorous review process conducted by 114 esteemed reviewers. Contributions came from 12 countries, including 16 international papers, reflecting the global and interdisciplinary nature of the conference. To ensure smooth organization, 15 coordination meetings were held with the teams in Duhok and Zakho, focusing on program development, reviewing papers, assigning reviewers, and preparing conference materials.

 

I extend my sincere appreciation to my fellow Executive Chairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yaman Sami Shareef Al-Kamaki and Asst. Prof. Dr. Araz R. Abraham; the Co-Chairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Farsat Heeto and Asst. Prof. Dr. Mezgeen S. Ahmed; and the Conference Secretaries, Asst. Prof. Dr. Najdavan A. Kako and Asst. Prof. Dr. Diyar. I also thank the Heads of the Organizing Committee, Asst. Prof. Dr. Dindar Sh. Bari and Asst. Prof. Dr. Wafaa M. Abdullah, as well as the Track Chairs, whose commitment was vital to the success of ICOASE 2025.

 

We gratefully acknowledge the distinguished Scientific Committee, whose careful reviews ensured the high quality of the presented research, and we extend our thanks to the keynote speakers, whose insights enriched the discussions and broadened perspectives.

 

Special recognition is due to all researchers and students who participated, demonstrating dedication to advancing science and innovation. We also commend the technical support, logistics, and IT teams for their tireless behind-the-scenes efforts, and our volunteers, whose enthusiasm and commitment created a welcoming and professional environment for all participants.

 

ICOASE 2025 stands as a testament to the spirit of collaboration, transparency, and dedication shared between the University of Zakho and Duhok Polytechnic University. The success of this conference not only reflects the commitment of our institutions to advancing knowledge but also strengthens the partnership between us.
