On Monday, November 15, 2021, the Department of Arabic Language at the University of Zakho, in cooperation with the Zakho Center for Kurdish Studies , held the first symposium in a series of symposiums for the departments of humanities in the presence of the dean of the faculty, faculty members and students. The symposium was divided into two sessions.

It is also a unique opportunity to introduce personalities, researchers and intellectuals outside the university’s borders, in addition to exchanging ideas and opinions through the participation of many specialists from the universities of Dohuk, Erbil, Mosul and other Iraqi universities.
The series of seminars that will be held by the rest of the faculty departments, which are (Turkish language, Kurdish language, history, Islamic studies) will continue and will be held on Mondays of each week. It’s worth noting that the English Language Department has already held its symposium under the title (Contemporary Trends and progress in Language and Literature).
