The University President Received the Inventor and Kurdish Scientist Dr. Azad Najar

On Sunday, February 14, 2021, at 11:00 AM, the President of the University of Zakho, Professor Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel, received the prominent Kurdish inventor and physician Dr. Azad Najar. Dr. Najar was warmly welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Karwan F. Sami-Vice President of the University for Students Affairs, members of the University Council, staff, and professors of the university. In the beginning, the President of the University delivered a welcoming speech. Then Dr. Azad delivered a special seminar to talk about inventing artificial hearts, his 20 years of work in Sweden, and the experiments made on animals to test the artificial heart.

At the end of his seminar, he received an honoring gift from the University of Zakho.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Azad Ibrahim Al-Najjar was born in Iraq in 1968. He studied at the College of Medicine at the University of Mosul and graduated in 1992. He worked for two years as a regular doctor. In 1995, he immigrated to Sweden to continue his scientific career in the field of medicine, where he obtained many patents and achieved many achievements, the most important of which is the innovation of the artificial heart.
