The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region decided to reduce the tuition fees in the universities and institutes of the region for the new academic year by 45%.
This came during the meeting No. (10), which was held on Monday chaired by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Aram Muhammad Qadir and the attendance of university presidents, where it was agreed to reduce wages for evening studies and the parallel education system (Parallel) for the new academic year by 45% because of the economic conditions that the region suffers from and the difficult living conditions of students. This decision includes students applying to postgraduate programs (masters, doctorates, and higher diplomas).
Also, during the meeting, many files and other topics were discussed, such as expanding study seats for students coming to medical colleges and developing strategic plans to contain the difficulties and challenges that could hinder the process of accepting students in universities and institutes of the region.
