On Saturday 8/29/2020, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region held a remote meeting chaired by the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Aram Muhammad Qadir, in the presence of the presidents of the universities of the region, to discuss and discuss many files related to the new academic year.
During the meeting, the minister listened to the proposals submitted by university heads to raise, discuss, and approve them, taking into consideration the health situation in the region due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
The most prominent proposals are summarized in the possibility of starting working hours in universities starting from the beginning of the current month of September and ending with the end of June of next year, and universities setting the time for the working hours according to their vision provided that the education system is according to the blended learning system, as well as the hosting system between universities for the current year only, and setting 10/11/2020 as the date for the start of postgraduate studies.
