Seminar at the University of Zakho about The Mass Murder of the Kurds in the 13th Century by the Mongols

On Wednesday, the 20th of January 2016 at 12:00 a.m., Dr. Kerevan Amedi, lecturer at the Department of History, presented a seminar about The Mass Murder of the Kurds in the 13th Century by the Mongols at the Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Zakho. Dr. Kerevan Amedi firstly described the destruction of Kurdish cities such as Hamadan, Hewler, Sert, Amed, Xan, Bitlis, and Xabur by Mongol hords during the 13th century. In his seminar, he focused on the destruction of the city of Hewler, mentioning the violations done by the Mongols which had a strong impact on the city. Finally, constructive debates were conducted between the presenter and the participants, including lecturers and students from the Department of History.
