On October 11, 2026, the Department of Education and Psychology at the College of Education, University of Zakho, organized several activities to mark World Mental Health Day. The activities were held in coordination with the Barzani Charity Foundation, Hazel Private Basic School, Hazel Private Preparatory School, and Banani Organization for Mental Health.

These activities aimed to raise mental health awareness, promote a culture of psychological well-being, and contribute to building a mentally healthy and well-balanced society.
