The Department of English Language, College of Humanities - University of Zakho announces that Mr. Nechirvan Hassan Jawzal has successfully defended his PhD dissertation entitled “A Discourse Analysis of the Use of Implicatures in Bahdini-Kurdish and English Corpus” on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The dissertation was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Fakhir Omar Mohammed and examined by the appointed academic committee.

Following the successful defense and completion of the required academic procedures, Mr. Nechirvan Hassan Jawzal has been awarded the Doctor of Philosophy in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics.
