The Department of English Language at the College of Humanities, University of Zakho, held a PhD dissertation defense in English Literature, during which Mr. Khorsheed Mohammed Rasheed successfully defended his dissertation entitled “The Fusion of Realism and Magical Realism in Selected Contemporary American Novels” on Monday, September 14, 2026.

The research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Ismael Mohammed Fahmi Saied and Dr. Chiad Abdulsetar Abdulkarim and was evaluated by the appointed academic examination committee.

Following the successful defense and completion of the required academic procedures, Mr. Khorsheed Mohammed Rasheed was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in English Literature.
