As part of Zakho University’s ongoing efforts to support the academic advancement of its staff, two faculty members participated in a workshop on Bridging Research and Practice: Innovation in Teaching organized by the Kurdistan Association for TESOL Teachers. 

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the College of Languages, Duhok University, a workshop was presented by Prof. Dr. Jaafar Sheikhul-Islami, a Professor at Carleton University in Canada, and a member of the Advisory Board of TESOL Kurdistan, as well as the Advisory Board of Academic Journal. During the event, two faculty members from Zakho University participated in the conference:
