On Thursday, December 12, 2024, a high-ranking delegation from the University of Zakho, consisting of the President of the University of Zakho, Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz, and the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Jassim M. Abdo, participated in the final conference of the "TeachersMOD" project, which is dedicated to modernizing teachers training in primary schools in the Kurdistan Region.

This project falls under the framework of the Erasmus+ program, a European Union initiative focused on education, training, youth, and sports. The program, which has been active for several years, aims to address economic, social, and labor challenges while promoting development and social equality among European countries and their partners.
