On June 20 – 21, 2023, a delegation from the University of Zakho participated in the fourth meeting of the APPRAIS project in Duhok City. Eight (8) universities of the Kurdistan Region, the Ministry of Higher Education, and four (4) European Universities cooperated in the APPRAIS project.

The University of Zakho delegation was represented by the Vice President for Students Affairs, Dr. Karwan F. Sami, the Director of Quality Assurance, Dr. Dler A. Jameel, and the Director of International Relations Affairs, Dr, Nizar I. Ali.

It is worth noting that this meeting was organized and hosted by the Conference Center at the University of Duhok in the Kurdistan Region. During this meeting, the progress of implementing the project over the past two months was discussed, along with various significant topics, such as project management and financial matters. Additionally, plans and strategies were identified for all areas, including the strategic plan for developing universities and the sustainability plan, focusing on faculty training and student services.

During the meeting, Dr. Dler A. Jameel and Dr, Nizar I. Ali presented a seminar that centered on highlighting the training courses for the university teachers, in addition to enhancing and advancing academic programs through modern and scientific approaches tailored to contemporary needs.
