On Thursday, June 8, 2023, the President of Zakho University, Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz, warmly received the President of the STEP Organization for Democracy and Elections, Mr. Sarbast M. Rashid.

The organization plays a significant role in implementing projects related to peace and democracy, as well as, throughout the meeting, proposals were presented related to various local and international projects.

Later, a meeting occurred with Dr. Nizar I. Ali, Dr. Mahmoud A. Youssef, Ms. Diman Z. Sami, Dr. Najm al-Din Ezzat, and Ms. Dilgash S. Saleh. The meeting aimed to present a special proposal for the Darwin Initiative, a British organization focused on environmental projects.

Both sides expressed their mutual satisfaction with the collaboration and emphasized the importance of continuing coordinated efforts, particularly in future joint democracy-related projects.
