The President of the University of Zakho, Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz, participated in the Third Conference of Rectors of The Federation of Arab and Russian Universities, hosted in Sharjah, UAE, on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. The event brought together representatives from over 200 Arab and Russian universities.

The conference sessions focused on several key topics, including exchanging experiences, fostering student exchange programs, training initiatives, and discussing joint scientific research among participating universities. Additionally, the discussions emphasized adapting to digital transformation, advancements in technology, and artificial intelligence applications.

During the conference, numerous agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed, including a MoU between the University of Zakho and the University of Sharjah. This agreement aims to enhance collaboration in scientific research, joint academic programs, faculty and student exchanges, and cooperation in scientific fields. It also focuses on advancing higher education by adapting to contemporary changes and developments.
