On November 29, 2022, the Zakho Center for Kurdish Studies at the University of Zakho, under the auspices of the Independent Administration of Zakho, released 36 poetry collections by classical poets from the Bahdini region in a special ceremony. The event was attended by the President of the University of Zakho, Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz, the Supervisor of the Independent Administration of Zakho, Mr. Guhdar Shekho, the Head of the 8th Branch of the Democratic Party, Mr. Ali Awni, the Mayor of Zakho, Mr. Mosheer Mohammed, along with a host of officials, prominent figures, university faculty members, and students.

The ceremony included speeches that highlighted this initiative as an unprecedented achievement by the Zakho Center, particularly credited to Dr. Fakher Hassan, who took on the mission of researching, collecting, and republishing these poetry collections over several years with the assistance of a specialized team in writing, research, and design.
