Workshop Description:
In alignment with the National Standards for Accreditation of Medical Colleges, the College of Medicine at the University of Zakho is convening a comprehensive workshop aimed at assessing the current progress toward institutional accreditation and enhancing the effectiveness of data collection and documentation across all standard areas.
This strategic workshop will bring together the Accreditation Steering Committee and the Heads and Members of the Nine Area Committees to:
Review and evaluate progress in fulfilling each domain of the National Accreditation Standards.
Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas requiring urgent attention across the nine accreditation areas.
Standardize and refine data collection tools, formats, and protocols to ensure alignment with accreditation expectations.
Enhance inter-committee collaboration and communication for more coherent and unified reporting.
Provide hands-on guidance for the development of evidence-based documentation, tracking of performance indicators, and maintenance of audit-ready records.
Discuss strategies for overcoming common challenges in evidence gathering, such as limited digital infrastructure, unclear documentation roles, or lack of KPI integration.
The workshop will include committee presentations, interactive working groups, expert feedback sessions, and the introduction of improved data frameworks tailored to the national accreditation criteria.
