As part of the Pedagogical Training Course – Round 13 at the University of Zakho, a field visit to Life Company was organized within the Competency-Based Education (CBE) Module.
The visit aimed to provide participants with a practical understanding of how workplace competencies are developed, applied, and assessed in professional environments. The activity offered trainees an opportunity to observe real-world organizational practices and explore the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and competencies required for success in today's labor market. Through direct interaction with professionals and company representatives, participants gained valuable insights into the alignment between educational outcomes and workplace expectations.
The visit emphasized the core principles of Competency-Based Education by highlighting the importance of preparing learners with relevant competencies that meet the needs of employers and contribute to career readiness. Participants were encouraged to reflect on how competency-based approaches can be integrated into teaching and learning processes to enhance student employability and lifelong learning.
The activity was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Nisreen Jalal, responsible for teaching the CBE Module, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Sattar Jabbar Haji, within the Pedagogical Training Program at the University of Zakho.
As part of its ongoing efforts to maintain high standards of training quality and educational excellence, the academic team of the Pedagogy Center continuously designs and implements such experiential learning activities to bridge pedagogical theory and professional practice, ensuring meaningful, engaging, and effective learning experiences for course participants.
