On Thursday, November 7, 2019, the doctoral dissertation of Mr. Chiyad A. Abdulkarim, from the English Department, was defended. His dissertation was entitled "Modernist Narrative in Kurmanji Fiction with the Main Focus on the Essential Contribution of Mehmed Uzun" and it took place at the Hall of Khalil Khayali-Faculty of Humanities.
