Department of Geography celebrated World Geographic Information System Day (GIS)

In the presence of Professor Sitar Jabbar Haji, the dean of the College of Education, and Professor Ramadan Jaafar Mustafa, assistant rector for student affairs, as well as several directors and representatives of administrative units in the Zakho Independent Administration, the Department of Geography at the College of Education celebrated World Geographic Information System Day (GIS) on Monday, November 25, 2024. The university's faculty, students, and heads of the scientific departments organized an event for World Geography Day. A scientific panel and multiple student presentations were presented by a number of  qualified GIS instructors from universities like Salahaddin, Duhok, Mosul, and Zakho.
