The Career Development Center at the University of Zakho (CDC-UOZ) serve as a vital bridge between university and the private sectors. The main aim of this center is to provide students and alumni with opportunities to develop professionally, connect with potential employers, and improve employability skills and achieve lifelong career success. In addition, this center aims at developing a supportive network between students, faculty and staff, as well as local, national and international employers and alumni. Career Development Center creates a positive, safe, cooperative, and productive work environment inside the university campus as well as with local and private organizations where cultivation of personal expertise and professional development is encouraged for students.

The vision of the CDC is to see most of the students engaged in their career exploration in a manner that enhances their student life experience, and also services them to see the connection of their education to their career development, and enables them to accomplish their career goals and make a positive contribution to society. The Career Development Center prepares students with skills and resources to achieve permanent employment and to meet their professional goals.
