CONDUCTING A SEMINAR BY THE AMIDEAST ORGANIZATION

Career Development Center at the University of Zakho is pleased to announce that the AMIDEAST Organization will present a seminar on the American "Corner Pop-Up" program.

The program is a platform that covers a wide range of topics such as environment, human rights, media, science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Fulbright scholarships are also part of the program.

To inform the staff and students of the application requirements for the program, the delegation of Amideast Organization is represented by Mr. Handren Balaki who is a program employee of the organization.

They will be invited to the University of Zakho by the CDC to present a seminar on the Fulbright Scholarship that will open this year. 

This exchange program is currently open for applications until May 1, 2023!

The Fulbright Program provides funds for:

·        Tuition and required fees for graduate study in the United States;

·        Books, equipment, and travel allowances;

·        Monthly stipend for room and board;

·        Supplemental health and accident coverage plan;

·        Opportunities to participate in Fulbright enrichment seminars.

 

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

·        U.S. citizens or green card holders are not eligible to apply;

·        Must reside in country throughout the application, selection and placement process;

·        Must have two years of professional work experience after graduation;

·        Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution at the time of the program start date;

·        Must have a strong academic background;

·        Must be proficient in English and/or able to attend a Long-Term English (LTE) program prior to the start of the study program;

·        Preference is given to students who have little or no previous experience studying or living in the United States;

·        Persons of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, are encouraged to apply.
