On Thursday, July 8, 2021, Dr. Diler Adel, Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance, participated in a symposium entitled: "Pioneering Experiences of Accreditation and Quality Bodies for Arab Higher Education Institutions", which was held by the Association of Arab Universities.
The participants in the symposium discussed a series of these experiences that are in line with the objectives of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council to achieve a compatible vision and the spirit of modernity and renaissance that the Council aspires to in order to advance the quality of higher education in the Arab world and to keep pace with the spirit of modernity in the vital field, which is one of the most important areas of growth in the world because of its deep overlap in all economic, industrial, educational, medical, and other sectors.
This requires that the outputs of higher education in Arab universities comply with the requirements of the constantly changing labor market, which puts Arab universities in front of the challenges of continuous updating of study plans and foreseeing the future based on quantitative and qualitative indicators selected according to the nature of the field of study so that academic content contributes to providing knowledge and enhancing skills of self-development and self-learning, enabling students to apply the academic content offered by the university through simulation and promoting the use of modern technology in teaching to acquire the skills necessary for the labor market.
Therefore, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council in the Association of Arab Universities seek to hold a series of virtual seminars to highlight the pioneering experiences of accreditation and quality assurance bodies in some Arab countries to benefit from.
