As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting student welfare, on Wednesday, February 21, 2026, Professor Dr. Diyar Abdulkarim Saeed, President of the University of Zakho, accompanied by Professor Dr. Mohammad Hasan Khamo, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Professor Dr. Ramadan Jafar Mustafa, Vice President for Student Affairs, conducted an official visit to the university’s student dormitories.
The primary goal of the visit was to gain a closer understanding of the level of services provided and to assess the essential needs of students. Key areas of focus included:
Listening to Student Requests: Direct engagement with students to review their suggestions and concerns, with the aim of addressing any issues promptly.
Inspection of Facilities: Evaluation of electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, and other service infrastructure to ensure functionality and safety.
Identification of Shortages and Needs: Recording and documenting deficiencies in dormitory facilities to allow responsible departments to provide timely solutions.
During the visit, the University President emphasized that providing a safe, comfortable, and suitable living environment for students is a core responsibility of the University administration. All efforts will continue to be directed toward improving the quality of student services and ensuring that dormitory conditions meet the standards of safety and comfort.
