“On Saturday, 22 November 2025, a delegation from Zakho University, consisting of Mr. Mehvān Khalid, head of the delegation; Mr. Biwar Salim, team supervisor; and Mr. War Ramadhan, coach, along with five chess players, participated in a specialized chess tournament among universities in the Kurdistan Region. It should be noted that this tournament, organized by the Sports Directorate of Duhok University, included ten universities from the Kurdistan Region and lasted for two consecutive days. After several rounds of competition, the Zakho University team achieved fifth place.”
