A delegation from the University of Zakho participated in the RISE Project Training held at the University of Murcia, Spain, from 18th to 21st November 2025. The delegation comprised the following esteemed members:

- Asst. Prof. Dr. Ramadhan J. Mstafa, Vice President for Student Affairs  

- Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulhakeem Othman Mohammed, Academic Staff Member  

- Dr. Nizar Ismat Ali, Director of the International Relations Office  

- Mr. Lawend Ikram Mohammed, Director of the CDC Center  

The RISE project brings together seven Kurdish universities and two European universities, coordinated by UNIMED (Mediterranean Universities Union). 

The training primarily focused on the essential role of CDC (Career Development Center) services in guiding students and graduates through their transition to the labor market and connecting them with prospective employers. Furthermore, it emphasized the responsibilities of universities and stakeholders in supporting start-ups, enhancing employability and internationalization, as well as building productive relationships between academia and local entrepreneurs. The sessions also addressed creating synergies involving students, educators, and the wider university community to foster entrepreneurship and innovation.
