In the presence of the President of the University of Zakho, Dr. Nadhim S. Jacki, Dean of the College of Humanities, Dr. Fakhir Hasan, and Head of the Zakho Center for Kurdish Studies, Dr. Abdulsalam Najmaldin, a symposium concerning the tourism, health, and culture sectors in Zakho was held on February 12, 2024.

The event was attended by the Directors General of the three sectors of health, tourism, and culture, Dr. Sirwan A. Najjar, Chia Amin, and Dilkhaz M. Mohammed. During the symposium, strategies for sustainable development were discussed, and the topics included fostering responsible tourism practices, enhancing healthcare accessibility, and promoting cultural initiatives.
