The University of Zakho hosted a Book Release Ceremony on October 2, 2023. The author Saeed Razvan launched his book entitled “A Dictionary of the History and Civilization of Zakho”, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Humanities, Dr. Huger T. Tawfiq, Heads of Departments, teachers and students of the university, and in attendance of many figures and cultural elites.

The ceremony was held in the Khalil Khayali Hall to celebrate the writer and his great contributions to the history and civilization of Zakho city.

During the ceremony, in his opening remarks, the writer provided a succinct insight into the book, as well as highlighted its importance in detailing the history of Zakho and recording its events and facts in the past.
