Under the auspices of Dr. Yousef Guran, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Nazwroz University held its First International Conference on April 7-8, 2018, with the presence of the university president, professors, scholars, and students of the university.
It is worth mentioning that Kurdish Language Department of the University of Zakho had an active participation in the conference and some scientific researches were presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Hussein O. AbdulRahman, Head of Kurdish Language Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdulselam N. Abdullah, Linguistics Professor, and department's lecturers Mr. Nizar S. Tahir and Ms. Salwa .F. Salih. Likewise, Kurdish Department led many sessions and panels of the conference. Furthermore, it is worthwhile to mention that the conference lasted for two days with the participation of (26) researches from Canada, Italy, Britain, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, and Jordan.
