On Sunday, December 17th, 2017, at 11:00 am, many activities were held at the University of Zakho in celebration of Kurdish Flag Day. At the beginning of the activities, Dr. Sherzad Z. Mohammed, Dean of the Faculty of Education, delivered a seminar about "History of Kurdistan Flag" and the stages it went through. Then the Kurdish flag was hoisted on the Sports Building with the national anthem ‘Ey Reqib’ being played and the celebration continued with a friendly match between the University of Zakho and Zakho Technical Institute.
