On late July 2017, a delegate from the University of Zakho headed by Dr. Ahmad H. Ibrahim, Director of the International Relations Office and Mr. Obaid Ali Taha visited International Universities Affairs in Dohuk. The aim of the visit was to establish the relations between the University of Zakho and international universities. Establishing the relations is an important step for the development of the University of Zakho to be among the high ranked and accredited universities worldwide. Likewise, a meeting was held between the delegate of the University of Zakho and the representatives of the Kurdistan University in Hawler, the University of Traditional Medicine in Yerevan in the Republic of Armenia and Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences in Iran. In the meeting, the topics of signing a memorandum of understanding, cooperation program regarding integrated studies were discussed.

On the same time, the delegate visited and met the representatives of Program University in Betra, applied Science private university ASU, Progress University Gyumri Armenia, Anania Shirakatsi University and the British Institute of English Language. In the meeting, the topics of future collaboration and cooperation regarding joint projects, exchange staff and training courses were discussed.
