To motivate students to succeed in the first round, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research decided to deduct additional grades to the total graduates of the preparatory school. Also, decided to give priority to admission to universities and institutes by 55% for graduates of the first round.
Mr. Abbas Akram, the official spokesman for the ministry said: "In order to continue the project of the organization and for the purpose of changing the admission system in the universities and institutes to an academic system, and to take into account the interest of the student, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research decided to implement the decision in the next academic year.
