On Monday, 29th of May, 2017, Dr. Yusuf Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research received Karin Gregory, the Armenian Ambassador to Iraq.
After that, Dr. Yusuf Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, expressed the similarity of the history of the Kurdish people and the Armenian people in the purity of race and defence. Also, He pointed out his desire to strengthen scholarly communication between the two sides.
Then, Karin Gregory, the Armenian ambassador to Iraq stated that: there are scores of students of foreigners and Iraqis study in the universities of Armenia. On the other hand, he pointed out the ways of strengthening scientific and academic relations between his country and the Kurdistan Region.
