Under the slogan "the present and future of mother tongue in Kurdistan", the Presidency of the Department of Kurdish Language, University of Soran organized the First International Conference on the Kurdish Language at the Ziravan Hall of the Faculty of Education at the University of Soran on 22-23 of May 2017.
It is worth mentioning that, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Wahab Khalid Musa, Vice-President for the Students Affairs at the University of Zakho, participated at the conference through the research entitled "linguistic planning". He presented his research in one of the sessions of the conference and at the end of the session opened a door for interventions, and many constructive discussions held between him and the audience, and his research received the attention of the researchers.
