On Tuesday, February 9, 2017 at 11:00 am, Assist. Prof. Dr. Lazgin Abdi Jameel, the president of the University of Zakho, participated in a ceremony of honoring the journalists who fought terrorism and stated the achievements of the Peshmerga forces.
It is worth mentioning that, General Babaker Zebari, former Kurdish KDP politician and retired General in the New Iraqi Army, Major General Nazir, Dean of the Second Military Academy Zakho, Mr. Halgurd Hikmat the representative of the Ministry of Peshmerga, the Minister of the disputed areas of Kurdistan Region, the mayor of Zakho and a number of managers of the parties were attended this ceremony.
On this occasion, they honored the correspondent"s judiciary, who fought terrorism and announced the achievements of the Peshmerga in the press, after that Assist. Prof. Dr. Lazgin Abdi Jameel, the president of the University of Zakho honored Mr. Halgurd Hikmat the media official of the Ministry of Peshmerga and Mr. Azad Hamadeen the captain of journalists in the Kurdistan region with a piece of art which had the University of Zakho logo on it.
