University of Zakho Highlights and Raises Awareness on Irregular Migration

On December 2, 2025, the College of Law at the University of Zakho, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Organization (WEO) and the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, organized a scientific workshop titled “Community Engagement to Reduce Irregular Migration from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (CERIM) to UK and France” for students of the College of Law.

The workshop comprised presentations addressing several critical topics concerning the dynamics of irregular migration, methods of prevention, and, from another perspective, the adverse consequences and risks associated with irregular movement.

The workshop, conducted over the course of three consecutive days, provided significant benefits to the participating students.
