On Thursday, the 6th of October, 2016 and under the supervision of the king of Malaysia's representative, Mr. Dato, Dr. Shawkat Sindi, lecturer at the department of Islamic studies at the University of Zakho, participated in the Second Conference of the University of Islamic Science under the title " Preparing the New Generation." In Malaysia.

Worth mentioning, more than 130 research papers were accepted in this conference all about Education, Management and Technology and Religion. In addition, Dr. Shawkat presented his research on "Peaceful Coexistence of Religions- Kurdistan Region- as an example." Which he academically presented and also talked about many important topics related to religions the their Peaceful coexistence in Kurdistan region.
