Dr Lazgin A Jamil, President of the University of Zakho, participated in Iraqi-German Academic Cooperation Network Conference (IG-Con) in the Center for Iraqi Students in Erlangen University/ Germany from May 16th to 20th 2016. Iraqi-German Academic Cooperation Network (IG-CON) was a gathering of Iraqi and German universities or university departments which are already engaged or interested in the academic cooperation and exchange between the two countries.

The 2016 IGN-CON Annual Workshop -Conference was attended by official delegations of all IGN-CON member universities and invited speakers from other Iraqi and German universities. It was designed as a forum for the evaluation of the past and current cooperation projects, for the identification of the promising future projects, and the discussion of the challenges of the Iraqi-German academic cooperation under the current conditions in Iraq.
